Bath water out of balance can cause irritation to the eyes and skin.
Alkalinity is preferable to acidity in the water. A pH value of 7 means that the water is neither acidic nor basic. In the spa, the pH value should be 6.8-7.2*.
A value below 6.8 or above 7.6 is not advisable.
Chlorine content 0.5 – 1.0 mg/l

Guidance
It's that easy to measure pH value and chlorine content:
1. Hold a strip horizontally in the water for about 5 seconds.
2. Hold the strip still over the water for about 10 seconds.
3. Compare the colors with the table on the box.
*According to the Executive Order on swimming pool facilities etc. and their water quality, Appendix 1, the pH value should be between 6.8 and 7.0. The value must not be below 6.8 and never above 7.6. Water in Denmark is calcareous, and therefore has a relatively high pH value. The use of pH-increasing agents should not be necessary. You can optionally replace some of the water with tap water.
