Prevents algae and bacteria from growing in the spa water by neutralizing phosphates. Phosphates are substances that feed both algae and bacteria.
NoPhos causes the phosphates in the water to turn into an insoluble precipitate that is removed through filtration.
Application
10 ml of NoPhos is sufficient to bind 1g of phosphate.
If the level of phosphates is 0.5 mg/l, or 0.5 g/m3, you will have 1g of phosphates in 2,000 liters of water, which will require 10 ml of Nophos to precipitate.
After addition, it will take approximately 6 weeks for all phosphate to precipitate.
Recommended phosphate content for pools/spa baths is 0.0 mg per liter.
NoPhos can be used in fresh or salt water.
