Our ideology
“We believe that quality and sustainability go hand in hand. We create products that meet our customers' expectations for quality, functionality and design. A sustainable product that can last for many years.”
Core values and principles
Quality first: We believe that quality is essential for sustainability. By producing high-quality products, we ensure that our products can last for many years.
Longevity: Our products are designed to last for many years. An important principle in our product development is to use materials that can withstand the test of time.
Customer Satisfaction: Our customers are essential to our success. We believe that satisfied customers who appreciate the quality and durability of our products are more likely to remain customers and recommend our products to others.
Repair options: We ensure our customers the opportunity to repair and maintain products they have purchased from us through our 10-year spare parts warranty.

Sustainability initiatives
Certified wood: We use certified wood to ensure responsible and sustainable forestry, through which we contribute to biodiversity and the animal and plant life in the world's forests.
Environmentally friendly chemistry: As an alternative to chlorine, Nordkap Living offers Oxytabs. If you can't tolerate chlorine, Oxytabs is the obvious solution. In addition, it also doesn't have the classic chlorine smell.
Blue Connect: With the digital tool Blue Connect, Nordkap Living helps customers to streamline the use of chemicals and reduce unnecessary discharge of chemicals. Blue Connect provides our customers with guidance on which chemicals are necessary and when to use them. This reduces unnecessary discharge of chemicals into the water. 67
Zavepower: With Zavepower, we help our customers optimize their electricity consumption by using electricity when it is cheapest and in surplus on the electricity grid. This reduces costs for consumers and indirectly reduces the overall load on the electricity grid, thereby lowering greenhouse gas emissions.
Heat pump: For heating swimming pools, Nordkap Living offers a heat pump solution that can be set to maintain a constant water temperature according to the customer's wishes. Heat pumps for heating swimming pools are the most environmentally friendly and economical heating method for swimming pools, second only to solar energy, which can, however, be very unstable.
Transport with care: We prioritize transport with care by purchasing our products in large quantities and choosing environmentally friendly transport methods such as sea freight. In addition, the main warehouse is located just 10 km from the Port of Aarhus, thereby reducing the environmental impact of truck transport.
Electric products: We specialize in selling outdoor hot tubs and sauna heaters that are powered by electricity. Our sauna heaters do not pollute as much as wood-fired heaters. The same principle applies to outdoor hot tubs compared to traditional wilderness baths.
Sustainable materials
Carbon plates
Carbon plates emit infrared radiation uniformly from the entire surface, ensuring efficient heating without the need for reflectors. They are also more energy efficient compared to traditional heating methods such as electric radiators, as they convert almost 100% of the electricity into heat. This makes them both environmentally friendly and cost-effective in the modern home.
FSC certification
Our Canadian Hemlock wood is FSC certified. FSC is the world's most ambitious global certification for responsible forestry and your assurance of wood and paper from well-managed forests and other responsible sources. FSC works for both nature and people's conditions in the world's forests.
PEFC certification
Our cedar wood is PEFC certified. PEFC is a global organization that works to promote sustainable forestry worldwide, helping to create a future that takes into account biodiversity and the animal and plant life in the world's forests.
Canadian Hemlock
Our indoor saunas are constructed from Canadian Hemlock wood, which is known for its ideal properties for saunas. With its homogeneous color and fine structure, it adds a beautiful appearance to the sauna. Hemlock wood is naturally resistant to rot, which ensures the durability of the sauna. The wood used is FSC certified
Cedar wood
Our outdoor saunas are made of cedar wood, selected for its dense grain and natural resistance to rot, fungus and insects. The beautiful, reddish and fragrant cedar wood can retain its color for many years with proper care. The cedar wood used comes from sustainable forestry in Canada and is PEFC certified, and its exceptional durability makes it ideal for outdoor use. Maintenance only requires an annual wax oil treatment to extend the life of the wood.
Heat treated
Aspen Heat treatment of aspen makes the wood more durable and dimensionally stable without losing its strength. The heat treatment, which is both environmentally friendly and does not use chemicals, improves the quality of the wood, and the wood achieves a warmer glow and a more dirt-repellent and smooth surface. Finally, the wood has low thermal conductivity, so it remains cool to the touch, even after prolonged heating.
Red part
Red alder is a cheaper substitute for aspen for sauna cabins. To ensure good quality, it is important to choose A-quality red alder. Red alder can have brown spots caused by the larvae of pith spot flies.
Polystyrene
Polystyrene is a lightweight, durable and sustainable material used in our steam modules. It is 100% recyclable. It provides a flexible solution perfect for places where weight is crucial. It is one of the world's most widely used plastics with energy and environmentally friendly production methods. By combining high-density reinforced polystyrene with fiberglass mesh and water-repellent glass mosaic, a total energy saving of 80% is achieved compared to concrete solutions.
Solid Surface
Most sinks and bathtubs are made from a composite material, often called Solid Surface. This material consists mainly of powdered stone, typically bauxite, and a binder, which are pressed together in a mold. Solid Surface allows for various forming methods such as casting, gluing or welding. The product is easy to maintain and can be polished to remove minor scratches and is treated to resemble natural stone or ceramic.
RockSolid™
RockSolid™ is a robust stone mass made from a mixture of 70% granite or bauxite granules and 30% heat-cured synthetic resin with a high calcium content. The process involves heating and pouring the stone mass into silicone design molds, after which it is hardened to achieve dimensional stability and wear resistance against scratches and wear. Subsequent grinding and polishing results in a pore-free, hard surface with a beautiful finish and a hardness of 70 Barcol.

Electric products
We specialize in selling outdoor hot tubs and sauna heaters that are powered by electricity. Our sauna heaters do not pollute nearly as much as wood-fired heaters. The same principle applies to outdoor hot tubs compared to traditional wilderness baths.
Zavepower
Zavepower helps optimize power consumption by using power when it is cheapest and in surplus. This reduces costs for consumers and minimizes the need to generate power during times of high demand.
BlueConnect
Nordkap Living is a provider of BlueConnect, which helps use chemicals more precisely and efficiently, resulting in less overconsumption and waste.
Nordkap Living - How we differentiate ourselves
Circulation pumps
Our circulation pumps for outdoor spas use only half the electrical energy used by competing products on the market
Insulation
Our outdoor and swim spas all have first-class insulation. They have 15-20 cm thick thermal covers, as well as effective technical insulation. The tubs are insulated with an extra thick layer of foam, where the sides are covered with reflective foil. This ensures that the heat from the pump and the electrical installation does not leak out. In addition, the various components can be recycled.
Reducing environmental footprint
What are our internal efforts?
- Sensor-activated lighting: The lighting in stores, offices and warehouses is sensor-controlled with energy-saving LED bulbs.
- Building insulation: Our buildings are continuously optimized so that our insulation is most efficient and energy-saving.
- Waste sorting: We sort our waste into the categories of residual waste, food waste, paper, cardboard, textile waste, plastic, food and beverage cartons, glass, metal and hazardous waste.
- Recycling of packaging and pallets: Recycled material is used for shipping spare parts, and disposable pallets are recycled.
- Turn off after use: Internal policies ensure electronics are turned off after use
A company on the move
Accessibility for customers
We are in an ongoing process where we will clarify the information about our products. We will try to outline which initiatives have the least environmental impact.
Internal learning opportunity
In connection with the Green Profile, we see the opportunity to learn and actively investigate how we as a company can reduce our environmental impact. We become aware of where we have not, so far, functioned optimally and where we can improve.
