Granules for lowering the pH value in pool water. Easy to use.

Activ Pool PH Down is a granulate that lowers the pH value of pool water. The ideal pH value is between 6.8-7.2*. If the pH value is above 7.2, it must be lowered with Activ Pool pH Down.

Dosage:

Add 150 grams of pH Down to lower the pH value by 0.2 per 10,000 liters of water.

Instructions for use:

Measure the alkalinity with an alkalinity tester/test strips.

The alkalinity of the bathing water should be kept at 80-120 mg/l.

If the alkalinity is above 150 mg/l, add PH Down.

To lower the alkalinity 20 mg/l in 1000 ltr. of water, dissolve 48 g pH Down in approx. 1 ltr. of clean water.

The solution is poured into the deep part of the bath.

During the process, the water must be still, i.e. all pumps must be stopped.

Start the pump after 2-3 hours of operation.

Wait 15 minutes after the pumps have run and check the alkalinity again. If it is still high, add pH Down accordingly.

The process is completed by adjusting the pH value to between 6.8 and 7.2.

For low alkalinity (below 80 mg/l), add Alka Up.

*According to the Executive Order on swimming pool facilities etc. and their water quality, Appendix 1, the pH value should be between 6.8 and 7.2. The value must not be below 6.8 and never above 7.6. Water in Denmark is calcareous, and therefore has a relatively high pH value. The use of pH-increasing agents should not be necessary. You can optionally replace some of the water with tap water.
