How does the Genesis BLU FUSION system work?

The Bromine Generator unit is the easiest and most cost-effective way to keep your hot tub / swim spa spotless and always inviting. Here, naturally occurring bromide salt is used in the spa water and converts it into pure bromine through a low voltage current. This process is called electrolysis.

As an effective bactericide and algaeicide, bromine remains present in your water as long as you control your water effectively. Removing chemical by-products dramatically reduces wastewater drainage and refill cycles, ultimately saving thousands of gallons of water annually and virtually eliminating all of these bad chemical additives.

Sodium bromide is not the same chemical that comes from bromine tablets, powders or liquids. Instead, bromine is bound to sodium, free of chlorine, binders or blends – and is virtually odorless.

The pure bromine destroys waterborne bacteria and algae in the spa’s water. In addition, pure bromine quickly eliminates the presence of organic materials left by the spa bath, such as oils, sweat and skin cells.

As an added bonus, pure bromine does NOT contain calcium, so it can be used without worrying about increasing your calcium hardness in the water.
